Brea, California-based Mercury Insurance said the new product, which features standard ISO coverage forms, is being rolled out to independent agents in the sates where it writes business. They include California, Florida, New Jersey, Texas, Arizona, New York, Georgia, Oklahoma, Illinois, Michigan, Nevada, Virginia and Pennsylvania.
The insurer said it is looking to appoint additional independent agents.
The 50-year-old company, which writes about $2.5 billion in premium a year, was founded by George Joseph, its chairman and a former insurance agent.
