Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. announced on Monday the appointment of William Krivoshik as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, effective immediately. In this newly created role, Mr. Krivoshik will report directly to MMC President and CEO Brian Duperreault.

"As Chief Information Officer, Bill will lead the development of MMC's overarching technology strategy and architecture," Mr. Duperreault said. "He will evaluate the platforms, products and services across MMC, and collaborate with our corporate technology services group and MMC's operating company CIOs to leverage advances in the areas of information and technology. I look forward to working with him to further enhance MMC's value to clients through technology."

Mr. Krivoshik was most recently Chief Technology Officer at Thomson Financial, where he oversaw the company's technology and information operations globally. Mr. Krivoshik joined Thomson Financial in 2005, and during his time there, he and his team streamlined products and functions - integrating platforms accumulated through more than 40 acquisitions - to successfully increase productivity and improve customer retention. Previously, Mr. Krivoshik worked at Citigroup Inc. for five years, serving as Chief Information and Operations Officer for Travelers Life & Annuity and Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer for Citigroup Global Investment Management. Prior to Citigroup, he was the Chief Information Officer for AIG.

"As one of the world's leading professional services firms, MMC is committed to maintaining a world-class technology infrastructure that will enhance its ability to provide clients with state-of-the-art solutions," said Mr. Krivoshik. "I look forward to working with Brian, the senior leadership team, and the firm's technology groups to develop this framework and grow our capabilities."

Mr. Krivoshik began his career at Andersen Consulting in Stamford, Conn., in 1981. He has also held senior technology positions with NYNEX and GE Capital.
