Erik Manning Joins Guy Carpenter

Guy Carpenter and Company, LLC, the leading global risk and reinsurance specialist, announced that, effective September 27, Erik Manning will join the firm's Global Specialties, which comprise marine, energy, aviation, retrocession and Bermuda business. He will report to Kevin Fisher, Chairman of Global Specialties.

As a member of the Bermuda-based retrocession and Lloyd's property team, Manning will help the firm expand its presence in the Bermuda marketplace and develop retrocession market-based reinsurance solutions and retrocession market capacity on behalf of the firm’s retrocession clients worldwide.

Previously, Manning was Director, ICG/DCM at Deutsche Bank (London), where he was mainly responsible for originating and structuring non-life insurance linked securities. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, he was Senior Structurer – Insurance Linked Securities at ABN AMRO, with a particular focus on natural catastrophe securitizations. Previously, Manning worked at RK Carvill & Co. Ltd., where he specialized in cat bonds, contingent capital, credit hedging strategies, and other convergence products within the insurance industry.

Manning received a Bachelor of Arts in English and philosophy from the University of North Carolina, a Masters from Sheffield University and a PhD in risk theory from the University of London.
