SRILIAC's investment strategy focuses on insurance-linked securities, primarily catastrophe bonds, giving investors access to Swiss Re's expertise in catastrophe bond investments, natural disaster modeling, and underwriting.

Swiss Re's other investment strategy, focused on natural catastrophe reinsurance contracts and managed by Swiss Re Insurance-Linked Investment Management Ltd, is supplemented by SRILIAC (SRILIM). Investors can now gain access to Swiss Re's core natural catastrophe book or the broader catastrophe bond market through these investment managers.

SRILIAC CEO MariaGiovanna Guatteri stated: "For over two decades, Swiss Re has traded and invested in ILS. We are now making our capabilities available to institutional investors, allowing them to take advantage of our track record and established risk analytics, portfolio management, and operational expertise. We believe that our focus on catastrophe bonds will appeal to investors who place a premium on liquidity and transparency."

Swiss Re's Head of Alternative Capital Partners, Philipp RĂ¼ede, stated: "This move is the logical next step in the Group's strategy to expand the options for attractive investment partnerships with institutional investors through Swiss Re's Alternative Capital Partners. SRILIAC's investment strategy provides investors with access to Swiss Re's experienced team as well as a cat bond portfolio built through disciplined risk selection."
