Workers Comp Rates in MA Will Remain Unchanged through August 2012

The Workers' Compensation Rating and Inspection Bureau (WCRIBMA) has reached agreement with the State Rating Bureau in the Division of Insurance and the Office of Attorney General Martha Coakley to maintain Massachusetts Workers’ Compensation rates at current levels through August 31, 2012.

Joseph G. Murphy, Massachusetts’ commissioner of insurance, signed the agreement with the WCRIB to hold rates to help save businesses $65 million in proposed increases.

The WCRIBMA originally had asked for an overall 6.6% increase.
