New property underwriting facilities are being opened by WaterColor Management, an Alabama-based MGU. Donald Cleveland, President of WaterColor announced today that the agency has signed a new agreement with an A- VII Surplus Lines carrier. The agreement grants nationwide MGA authority with in-house rating and underwriting. The new capacity is designed for businesses in the private sector that are involved in water treatment.
Cleveland said, "Watercolor Management has been providing specialized liability coverage for the water treatment business since 1986, and we have frequently sought a property market partner that understood the risks as fully as we do. Now, we are proud to announce that we have that partner. Our new authority will give us the ability to turn around quotes to our clients and their producers much faster than in the past."
WaterColor Management is licensed to write business on a nationwide basis, and has underwriting agreements with an A++ XV carrier to underwrite a highly-specialized Liability policy for the water treatment industry. John Walsh, Chairman of the agency said, "We know of no other liability carrier providing water treatment specialists with coverage against Legionella bacteria-based claims. We have combined multiple coverages in one occurrence-form policy including General Liability, Products and Completed Operations, Professional Liability and broad Pollution Liability to simplify the adjustment of multi-faceted water contamination claims."
WaterColor's clients include national and local Water Treatment service companies, water chemical manufacturers and distributors, as well as Septic System installation and management companies.
WCM's customers apply biocides, scale inhibitors and corrosion preventatives to air-conditioning cooling towers; boilers and other water-regulated heat transfer mechanisms; and to irrigation systems. The agency also covers businesses offering water filtration and water softening programs.
