The MGU will write property/casualty coverage for facilities producing wind, solar, bio, hydro and other sources of renewable energy, Chicago-based Ryan said Tuesday in a statement.
Coverage will be written for construction of the energy facilities and exposures such as machinery breakdown, business interruption and others the projects will face after startup, Ryan said.
Ryan Specialty Group was started by Patrick Ryan, founder and former chairman of Aon Corp.
