Robins Insurance Agency, based in Nashville, Tenn., was founded in 1976 by Bruce Robins, president. The agency is a “dynamic” group with a focus on risk management, according to Elizabeth Schenk, vice president of sales and marketing for Keystone.
Keystone has four more Tennessee agencies scheduled to become a partner in the next three weeks, Schenk told IFA.
The property-casualty insurance broker’s initial plan, announced in September 2010, was to have 15 partners on board this year.
Keystone will “likely” end up with about 30 partners in Tennessee, when partnerships in the state are completed, Schenk told IFA. She said the final number is determined by Keystone’s partners, so a specific number can’t be provided yet.
Agencies that partner with Keystone remain completely independent and maintain their ownership.
Keystone also recently added 3 additional partners in Ohio, for a total of 29 partners in that state.
The insurance broker has 230 franchise partners in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee.
