Joe Torre, Mark Teixeira to Speak At IICF NY/Northeast Benefit

IICFThe Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) New York/Northeast division announced that Joe Torre of Major League Baseball and Mark Teixeira of the New York Yankees will serve as special presenters at the organization's 2012 benefit dinner on Wednesday December 12, 2012 at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City.
 
"Many in the community look up to leaders like Joe Torre and Mark Teixeira not just for their athletic prowess but for their community involvement," stated David Brinkman, chair of the IICF New York/Northeast division board and executive managing director of Aon Benfield. "These well-known personalities demonstrate that everyone can play a part in making the community a better place."

At the event, the IICF will honor XL Group plc for their philanthropic leadership with the 2012 'Double I' award for influence in the industry and impact in the community. Michael S. McGavick, CEO of XL Group plc, will accept the award.
 
The event, held at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City, begins with a 6 p.m. reception. The dinner, now in its sixth year, is the premier insurance event in the New York tri-state area and is attended by 900 insurance industry leaders.
