"As the insurance marketing and communications field responds to changes in methods and technology, IMCA is re-defining our objectives and strategies to cement our reputation as the premier communications authority in the industry," said IMCA Board President, Rob Martin. "An important part of this is establishing a brand identity and website that reflect our commitment to friendly engagement, experience sharing and creative collaboration."

To initiate the rebranding, IMCA formed a Brand Identity Steering Committee, chaired by past president Reg Pierce, and organized a membership-wide competition for both a new association logo and tagline. Six member agencies responded.

A logo design and tagline developed pro-bono by Vertibrands were selected. The resulting design centers around a communication icon that amplifies and reinforces the message that IMCA is a communications-based organization. The integration of the bars radiating from the dot of the "i" also serves to communicate the connectedness of its membership.

This messaging is highlighted in the "Insuring You're Connected" tagline, selected from a range of member and board-submitted suggestions. "The focus is on the importance of making connections in insurance marketing, as well as the benefits of building IMCA membership connections and networks," said Pierce.

The new IMCA website (www.imcanet.com), also developed by Vertibrands, reflects this commitment to clear communication and connection. The dynamic new redesign makes the site easier to navigate and share on social media, while giving members easy access to the information they need - automated membership renewals, group discussions, details about networking events and education opportunities.
