In the United States, GC Securities has been established as a division of MMC Securities Corp., a U.S. broker-dealer, according to a statement released Monday by New York-based Guy Carpenter. In Europe, MMC Securities Ltd. was changed to GC Securities Ltd.

The name changes are in line with the company’s corporate strategies for investment banking in Europe, the brokerage said in a statement.

David Priebe, head of Guy Carpenter’s Global Specialty Operations, said in a statement that establishing GC Securities “appropriately positions Guy Carpenter’s and its affiliates’ investment banking and capital market capabilities,” as well as providing reinsurance solutions.

GC Securities has offices in New York, London and Paris.
