GMI Launches New Program for Non-franchised Used Auto Dealerships

GMI Insurance, a leading managing general agent for transportation insurance nationwide, announced today that they have launched a new program for Non-franchised Used Auto Dealerships.

GMI is the exclusive, nationwide Underwriting Manager for this program, which is presently being offered through Liberty International Underwriters® (LIU), a member of Liberty Mutual Group, rated “A” (Excellent) XV by AM Best.

“GMI has enjoyed a strong working relationship with LIU, the global specialty lines division of Liberty Mutual, over the years of writing specialty auto program business,” said Karen Trudel, Chief Operating Officer at GMI Insurance. “We are now pleased to be able to provide this service to auto dealers.”

The program focuses on small- to medium-size, non-franchised auto dealers, incidental new automobile franchise operations, and incidental sales of trucks, RVs, boats and motorcycles.  ISO based coverages include Garage Liability, General Liability (Lessors Risk), Property, Business Income & Extra Expense, Inland Marine, Dealers Open Lot/GKLL, False Pretense, and all forms of Dealer Error & Omission coverages.
