Bridges has been with Brown & Brown since 1987, when the agency in which he was a principal was acquired. He has been promoted through several positions over the years and was elected as regional executive vice-president in 2001. In his new position as regional president Bridges will continue to be responsible for his regional operations for certain offices in Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas but will have an expanded role in further growing the company's overall operations.

Jim W. Henderson, Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer, commented, "Roy has played a big part in our success throughout these years, and has been responsible for the development of people and the growth of operations throughout his tenure with our Company."
