Aon Risk Solutions, the global risk management business of Aon plc, today announced a bolstering of the Construction Services Group with several promotions and new team members. These personnel moves include Geoff Heekin as executive vice president of global construction, Michael Herrod as leader of the National Surety Practice, Phil Luecht as regional managing director for the West and Rodney Moss as regional managing director for the Southwest."Our strengthened construction team puts more than 60 years of expertise in our clients' hands," said Kevin White, CEO of Aon Risk Solutions' Construction Services Group. "As we are seeing signs that our clients are ready to move forward and focus a greater energy on risk management, our team is poised to provide that energy."
In his new role as executive vice president of global construction, Geoff Heekin will be charged with delivering risk management and human capital expertise to construction clients. He will also continue to lead Aon Infrastructure Solutions, providing risk advisory services to global firms. Previously, Heekin was executive vice president and managing director of Aon Construction Services Group's National Surety Practice. He graduated from DePauw University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and mass communications.
As leader of the National Surety Practice, Michael Herrod will be responsible for the group's contract, commercial and international surety business segments. Most recently, Herrod served as regional managing director for Aon's Southwest region. Since joining Aon in 1996, he has assumed a number of surety management roles within the Construction Services Group. Herrod earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from the University of Houston.
In his new role as regional managing director of the West, Phil Luecht will leverage his extensive operational profit and loss and organizational management experience to provide clients with industry-leading construction solutions. Most recently, he served as resident managing director responsible for Aon Construction Services Group's Bay Area operations. During his more than five years at Aon, Luecht has served in a variety of leadership roles, including sales leader for Aon Risk Solutions and national sales leader for the Commercial Risk offices. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in finance from the University of Southern California.
As Southwest regional managing director, Rodney Moss will be responsible for leveraging his 25 years of industry experience as a construction lawyer and strategic risk advisor to serve clients in Texas and the surrounding states. In addition, Moss will support Aon Infrastructure Solutions' alternative project delivery team on a national basis. Prior to joining Aon, Moss was national senior vice president of Balfour Beatty's public private partnership capability center. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M, and a Juris Doctor degree from Stamford University.
