ACE Appoints President for Brazil Operation

The ACE Group of insurance and reinsurance companies announced today that Farid Eid Filho has been appointed Country President for ACE Brazil. Mr. Eid will be in charge of leading the company’s Brazilian operations including all property and casualty and accident and health insurance lines. He will report to Jorge Luis Cazar, Regional President of ACE Latin America.

With more than 27 years of experience in the Brazilian insurance market, Mr. Eid joins ACE from Alfa Seguradora, where he served since 1998 as Statutory Director, responsible for creating new products and distribution channels. From 1986 to 1997, Mr. Eid worked at American International Group in Engineering and Personal Lines. Previously, he was Commercial Director in Cia. Real Brasileira de Seguros, where he was in charge of product distribution.

Mr. Eid began his insurance career at Generali do Brasil in its Engineering division. Mr. Eid holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Mackenzie University in Sao Paulo.
