2nd Annual Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation – Midwest Benefit Dinner to be Chaired by CNA’s Thomas F. Motamed

Motamed, Chairman and CEO of CNA Financial Corporation will Chair the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) - Midwest's 2nd Annual Blazing the Trail Benefit Dinner, according to Kathleen Savio, President, Programs & Direct Markets of Zurich North America and IICF Midwest Board Chair.
 
"We are honored to have Mr. Motamed play such an integral role," Savio said, "As an industry leader, his involvement increases awareness and underscores the importance and relevance of our mission."  
 
The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation serves as a united philanthropic voice of the industry, and helps communities and enriches lives by uniting their collective strengths to provide grants, volunteer service and leadership. Since its inception in May of 2011, the IICF Midwest Division has logged over 1,500 volunteer hours, and contributed over $300,000 to local Midwest nonprofit organizations.
 
"We could not be more proud to be associated with the outstanding work of the IICF-Midwest.  In these economically challenging times, the insurance industry's tradition of philanthropy and community service is more needed than ever," Motamed said. CNA is the Presenting Sponsor for the event, taking place Thursday, March 14th at Chicago's Palmer House. Platinum sponsors include Deloitte, Encompass Insurance, Hub International Limited, Liberty Mutual, Swiss Re, Wells Fargo Insurance Services USA, Inc., and Zurich. The event has already raised over $675,000 toward its $700,000 goal.
