Underwriting Guidelines

  • All risks must be independent legal entity
  • Hospital fleets: can write mono-line auto coverage only
  • Accounts operating exclusively as non-emergency wheelchair transportation with no ambulances included in vehicle fleet are not eligible
  • Adequate employee supervision including safety and accident review procedures/recordkeeping
  • Employee certifications/training, and equipment suitable for operations
  • Procedures exist for regular pre/post trip inspections of medical equipment and restocking supplies
  • State/local requirements met for medical protocols and dispatching procedures/recordkeeping
  • Hours of operation prevent fatigue and working double shifts
