Zurich Appoints Cecilia Reyes as Chief Investment Officer

Zurich Financial Services Group (Zurich) announced today the appointment of Cecilia Reyes (51, Swiss and Philippine citizen) as Chief Investment Officer and member of the Group Executive Committee, effective April 1, 2010, reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Martin Senn. She will be based in Zurich and is succeeding Mr. Senn, who on January 1, 2010 assumed the role of Zurich’s CEO.

Mr. Senn, CEO of Zurich, said: "Cecilia combines deep substantive knowledge with a profound understanding of Zurich's strategy and culture. Head of Investment Strategy Implementation since April 2006, Ms. Reyes has extensive experience in the development and implementation of Zurich’s investment management strategies, successfully leading the team of regional investment managers and driving the Group’s global real estate strategies. She joined Zurich in January 2001 as Regional Manager for Group Investments with responsibility for North America, and became Regional Manager for Europe and International Businesses in July 2004.

Prior to joining Zurich, Ms. Reyes worked for ING Asset Management in Amsterdam, preceded by an assignment with ING Barings in London. Before her years with ING, she worked for Credit Suisse in Zurich in various roles in Credit Suisse Asset Management, Global Treasury and Securities Trading.
