Professional Insurance Agents of Wisconsin (PIA of Wisconsin), a statewide association of local, independent insurance agents, is among the newest sponsors of the American Insurance Marketing & Sales (AIMS) Society's Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA) professional designation program.
Earning the CPIA designation requires completion of a series of Insurance Success Seminars. The three day-long CPIA workshops teach practical before-, during- and after-the-sale techniques for producers, sales managers, account managers, service staff and company marketing representatives.
"The property and casualty insurance industry has not had adequate sales training for many years," says Ron Von Haden, CIC, PIA of Wisconsin executive vice president. "Now, with the CPIA program, agents can learn successful sales techniques and follow through. We are proud to continue our tradition as the leader in insurance education in Wisconsin."
PIA of Wisconsin will host "Position for Success," the first in the series of three CPIA Insurance Success Seminars, on November 9, 2011, at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel, 333 W. College Ave in Appleton. Agents who complete the seminar can earn seven Wisconsin continuing education credits.

About AIMS Society: Founded in 1968 as The Firemark Society, the AIMS Society (www.aimssociety.org) is a national, member-driven organization that provides training, information and networking services designed to increase the personal and agency sales production of property and casualty insurance agents. AIMS Society was the first organization to honor property and casualty agents for sales excellence and to establish the industry's only sales-based insurance designation-the Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA). Completion of the CPIA designation requirements is not necessary to qualify for membership.
