Willis Programs, a business unit of Willis Group Holdings (NYSE: WSH), the global insurance broker, today announced a customized insurance solution for attorneys in the state of Florida.LegalFeeGuardSM is an insurance program that covers liability for attorney’s fees and costs under Florida’s Proposal for Settlement statute. Attorneys can purchase the insurance on behalf of their client using a credit card on the www.LegalFeeGuard.com website. The program is underwritten by an A.M. Best ‘A’ (Excellent) rated carrier on a surplus lines basis and is currently available for cases heard in Florida’s State Court system. Policy limits range from $10,000 to $100,000.
