WAHVE can provide workers immediately to help with claims or support work, and is offering a discount on its hourly rate and waiving the setup fee.

Workers with a wide range of skills and experience are available, including claims personnel and customer service representatives with knowledge of a variety of agency management systems and commercial and personal lines insurance products.

Sharon Emek, CEO of WAHVE, explained: "There are insurance agencies in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut that have lost their offices or have obstacles to resuming normal operations. Some of the leaders and employees of these agencies have lost their homes, have blackout conditions, or have damaged homes -- as have many of their clients, who are calling upon these same agencies for claims service during this crisis.

"Through the Big I state associations in these states, WAHVE has offered to help with extra staffing at a much reduced rate to get these firms through this hard time so they can serve their clients," Emek said. "The insurance industry always performs in time of crisis. Remote workers are a new way for insurance agencies to help deliver on the products and services that are desperately needed at this time of recovery."

WAHVE workers can connect remotely to the agency technology system, if available, and can take incoming calls. WAHVE has more than 100 remote workers currently serving agencies who are available to work extra hours to help those agencies in need.
