The Hartford achieved the top ranking in the J.D. Power and Associates 2012 Insurance Shopping Study, which measures new auto customers' overall satisfaction with their purchase experience. Customers who recently bought auto insurance from The Hartford gave the company higher ratings than new customers who bought from any other auto insurer.
"Satisfying our customers is imperative to everyone at The Hartford," said Andy Napoli, president of Consumer Markets for The Hartford. "Earning this recognition for our service, products, prices and online experience is incredibly gratifying. I want to congratulate our teammates and agents for their strong contributions."
Several factors comprise the overall purchase experience and, in addition to earning the highest rating overall, The Hartford also earned the highest marks of any other insurer on the factors of price, policy offerings and call center experience.
Results were based on more than 7,400 consumer responses.
