PIA Western Alliance Launches CPIA Insurance Training Program

Professional Insurance Agents Western Alliance (PIA Western Alliance), a nine-state association of local, independent insurance agents, is among the newest sponsors of the American Insurance Marketing & Sales (AIMS) Society's Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA) professional designation program.

Earning the CPIA designation requires completion of a series of three Insurance Success Seminars-Position for Success (CPIA 1), Implement for Success (CPIA 2) and Sustain Success (CPIA 3.) The day-long CPIA workshops teach practical before-, during- and after-the-sale techniques for producers, sales managers, account managers, service staff and company marketing representatives.

"By offering the CPIA program, we are giving local, hometown agents and brokers an opportunity to build their insurance knowledge and expertise," says PIA Western Alliance Executive Vice President Clark Sitzes. "Producers and CSRs will get hands-on experience while learning the various elements of building a good insurance program and making the sale." PIA Western Alliance members live and work in Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon and Washington.

PIA Western Alliance will host its first CPIA Insurance Success Seminar-Position for Success-in Portland Oregon, October 5, 2011.  Additional Insurance Success Seminars are scheduled to be held throughout Oregon through June 2012.  Seven CE credit are available for individual Insurance Success Seminar in most Western Alliance states; in some states, CE credit is pending for one or more seminars.
