In a three-page order, Holland, citing state law giving her the authority in the event of a catastrophe, is now able to issue licenses for emergency adjusters for claims only involving the recent tornadoes and storms. The act is expected to accelerate the claims process and help deal with a massive catastrophe resulting in numerous homeowners and other insurance claims.
Those granted a license as an emergency adjuster hold that designation for no more than 90 days, unless extended an additional 90 days by Holland.
Holland also announced that she is working to bring into Oklahoma experienced adjusters from other states to help expedite the claims process.
