Agnew has been a non-executive director of Beazley since 2001 and chairman since 2003.
Agnew was previously a managing director of investment bank Morgan Stanley and also chief executive of rival firm Kleinwort Benson. He has previously been a chairman of Lloyd’s insure Limit (now part of QBE), Gerrard Group and Nationwide Building Society.
He is currently chairman of Ashmore Global Opportunities, The Cayenne Trust and LMS Capital and a senior independent director of Rightmove. He was a member of the council of Lloyd’s from 1995 to 1998.
