Leading Executive Panel Serves as Keynotes for 2011 Insurance Forum

Mihaylo College of Business and Economics (Mihaylo) and The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) are proud to announce the 2011 Insurance Forum: Shaping the Future will feature a panel of five outstanding executives. Held in partnership with the Center for Insurance Studies, the event will take place Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at California State University Fullerton from 1:00 – 2:30 pm.

The panel of industry executives and experts spans the breadth of the industry. The distinguished panel includes Kenneth Cooley, Principal Consultant, State Senate Banking, Finance & Insurance Committee; James Morris,  President and CEO,  Pacific Life Insurance; Hank Watkins, President, Lloyd’s America; Davidson Pattiz, Executive Vice President, The Zenith; and Steve Scott, Vice President & General Manager, Anthem Blue Cross. The discussion will be moderated by Hank Watkins and will feature opening remarks by Dr. Anil Puri, Dean, Mihaylo College of Business and Economics.

The afternoon’s program will take a critical look at the future of insurance, addressing key trends and challenges of the industry while highlighting the critical components  that will drive a successful future. Forum participants will come away with an awareness of what the broker, insurance company and consumer should anticipate in the coming year /s.

“The Insuring the Children Forum is one of the many programs offered by the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation.  These industry focused events unite insurance leaders for learning opportunities and contribute valuable funds to support the Foundations local community grants program,” notes Bill Ross, Chief Executive Officer of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation.

Proceeds from the 2011 Insurance Forum will benefit scholars enrolled in the Center for Insurance Studies program at Cal State Fullerton, and regional nonprofits supported through the Foundation’s Insuring the Children program (ITC). A regional Southern California program of the IICF, ITC is dedicated to raising funds and awareness to fight child abuse and neglect. Since 2006, ITC has raised over $890,000 specifically directed towards Southern California nonprofit organizations focusing on child abuse prevention and education.
