Affinity Insurance Ltd., a casualty lines group captive owned by 290 companies, has selected The Hartford as its insurance carrier for workers' compensation, commercial auto and general liability. Captive Resources, LLC administers the program on behalf of Affinity.

"The Hartford has built a solid reputation in the group captive marketplace for outstanding service and a strong commitment to collaboration with captive owners," said Tom Ullrich, executive vice president of Captive Resources. "Affinity's selection of The Hartford builds on a long and successful partnership between The Hartford and Captive Resources."

"This partnership underscores the strength and breadth of our group captive capabilities," said Deborah Bibbins, vice president of The Hartford's Captive & Specialty Programs segment. "We believe the group captive structure offers tremendous opportunity for our customers to take a proactive role in the management of their total cost of risk."

The Hartford currently has 54 programs in its Captive & Specialty Programs segment, which designs tailored insurance programs for higher hazard businesses that require specialized underwriting, loss control and claims handling, as well as programs that involve risk sharing with agents, associations, insureds or other partners.

Through Captive & Specialty Programs, The Hartford has the flexibility to accommodate virtually any type of program structure.
