L&T Infotech Unveils "Insurance Mobile Components" (iMC) Suite at ACORD/LOMA

L&T Infotech, a global IT services and solutions provider, on Monday at the ACORD/LOMA Conference in Las Vegas announced the launch of "insurance Mobile Components (iMC)". The all-pervading nature of mobile smart phones and the advent of next generation mobile devices are changing the way insurers do business. This presents an opportunity to not only differentiate services but also gain operational efficiencies. L&T Infotech's iMC is a suite of ready components that can expedite adoption of mobile technologies by as much as 40%.

A research document by Forrester Research, Inc., dated October 2009, and titled “Seizing Insurance?s Mobile Opportunity,” says that “Smartphone adoption among US insurance customers is growing, and customers are beginning to engage with insurers via the mobile Web for policy administration, claims, and bill pay”.

These components cater to functional areas within the insurance industry such as Marketing & Distribution, Risk Inspection, Claims Adjustment, Self-service and Emergency Response. To fast-track the implementation, iMC includes robust architectural design and test scenarios addressing various handsets and platforms, along with consulting and implementation artifacts including business case template, pre-implementation assessment model and reference implementation roadmap.

L&T Infotech's Telecom Product Engineering Lab is equipped to deliver embedded software as well as mobile applications on a variety of handsets and platforms such as BlackBerry, iPhone, Android, Symbian, Windows Mobile, J2ME, BREW, Palm, etc.
