IICF Announces Nonprofit Beneficiaries of IICF Week of Giving

IICFThe Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) announced Feeding America, St. Baldrick's Foundation, Starlight Children's Foundation and the Wounded Warrior Project will be the beneficiaries of the inaugural IICF Week of Giving  campaign. Taking place October 13-20, 2012, IICF Week of Giving is the industry's largest annual volunteerism and giving program, engaging thousands of industry professionals across the nation.

IICF Week of Giving, formerly known as Volunteer Week, has expanded in 2012 to include an industry-wide giving campaign to coincide with the volunteer program. Since 1998, insurance professionals have provided over 155,000 hours of volunteer service for local community nonprofits. The additional element of community giving enables every individual employee the opportunity to join in an industry-wide philanthropic campaign through online donation or text-to-give.

"Insurance employees want to support the communities where they live and work," remarked IICF CEO, Bill Ross. "IICF Week of Giving reemphasises our industry's longstanding commitment to volunteerism while also providing a means for individuals to financially support outstanding organizations working within their own communities. The positive impact of the industry is substantial, especially when we are united."

All proceeds generated through the IICF Week of Giving campaign will benefit Feeding America, St. Baldrick's Foundation, Starlight Children's Foundation and the Wounded Warrior Project.

"The IICF is proud to support these four outstanding nonprofits. Each organization is a nationally recognized and working throughout the country to make a positive impact upon communities where IICF supporters live and work," continued Ross.
