Former Google Exec Gets Attendees at Peak Performance Buzzing About Internet Marketing, Social Media

Chad Meisinger, former Google executive, Internet entrepreneur, and a business partner with Neilson Marketing Services, headlined a two-part keynote session on "Monetizing the Web" at this year's Peak Performance Insurance Ski Conference, which took place last week in Snowmass, Colorado. After his sessions, carriers, wholesalers, MGAs/MGUs, program administrators, TPAs, and retail agents attending the conference were all a buzz with innovative ideas and strategies on how they would capitalize on the Internet and social media to promote their programs and services, communicate and interact with their respective clients, and become a thought leader in their individual verticals.

“Chad's talk was truly interactive and inspirational. He gave some real hands-on examples and ideas that has moved our company into action to revamp our web presence, create a drip marketing campaign, and use social media to gain trust of our prospects," said one of the attendees.

"It's great to see everyone motivated about Internet Marketing," said CEO Larry Neilson, Neilson Marketing Services, a host of the conference along with ProgramBusiness.com. "You can see that everyone really got it just by all the marketing ideas they were coming up with in our 'Best Marketing Eidyia' session." On the last of a three-day conference, each year Peak Performance holds a contest for the best marketing idea, which is sponsored by Eidyia. This year the attendees' ideas were all about using social media and the Internet, inspired by the practical information Chad had discussed.

In his session, Chad provided the conference attendees with a first-hand look into SEO (search engine optimization) and how Google looks at content and ranks pages; how to choose relevant keywords; how a website should be set up to generate leads; the benefits of blogging, a drip marketing campaign, and social media; and measuring results.

Eighty-five percent of the participants in a survey conducted at the conference indicated that Chad’s talk went above and beyond what they were expecting. They learned something new, felt inspired and were able to understand Internet Marketing like never before. The other 15% loved the talk and wanted even more – even after a 3-hour session.

"Because of Chad's talk, I understood the 'triangle of trust' and how to actually use social media for a business advantage," said another attendee.

The Peak Performance Insurance Ski Conference is an annual event, hosted by Neilson Marketing Services and ProgramBusiness.com, that brings together the entire insurance distribution system to network, discuss new programs, synergies and partnerships, learn new marketing strategies, and have fun on the slopes. Last week's conference in Snowmass, Colorado marked Peak's tenth anniversary.
