"Cynthia Young has a tremendous perspective on the insurance industry and how it operates, and will add an insurance company perspective to our board," stated Sharon Emek, Ph.D., president and CEO of WAHVE. "WAHVE started out working primarily with independent insurance agencies, but our staffing services work for a range of insurance firms. Young, while an attorney with Progressive's professional liability group, handled claims in the areas of community bank directors' and officers' liability, bankers blanket bond, trust errors and omissions and employment practices liability products. She also has career experience as a litigation associate at law firm Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue.

Young, a graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana, earned her juris doctorate from the Notre Dame School of Law. She was honored with the "Top 100 Executives and Emerging Leaders Under 50" award from Diversity MBA Magazine and the National Eagle Leadership award from Career FOCUS Magazines.
