Congressman Waxman Asking for Key Documentation from AIG, Lehman’s for Scheduled Hearing

Rep. Henry Waxman, the Democratic chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Oversight and Government Reform is asking chief executives of Lehman Brothers Holdings In and American International Group Inc (AIG) to provide internal documents in preparation for an upcoming hearing on the collapse of the companies. 
 
Waxman wrote to Lehman CEO Richard Fuld and new AIG CEO Edward Liddy, requesting all documents or communications transmitted to or from the executives during the 180-day period ending September 16. 
 
In addition, Waxman asked for communications related to CEO and board member compensation, and in the case of AIG, documents between former CEO Maurice Greenberg or his representatives and board members. 
 
Hearings are scheduled for early October.
