Benefit Dinner Tops $1 Million for Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation N.Y. Division

The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF)  New York division has surpassed the $1 million mark for ticket sales for its 2010 benefit dinner, to be held Wednesday December 8, 2010, at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
“The fourth annual benefit dinner will be the division’s largest fundraising event to date, with more than 800 guests attending,” stated David Brinkman, chair of the IICF New York Division board and executive managing director of Aon Benfield.
Proceeds of the benefit dinner will fund grants to non-profit charitable organizations in the New York-New Jersey-Connecticut tri-state area that focus on education, children at risk, the environment, and disaster preparedness.
“The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation serves as a catalyst for collaborative efforts of insurance companies, reinsurance companies, employees, agents and brokers, and strategic partners of the industry,” noted Brinkman. “The benefit dinner truly is collaborative, with a wide range of professionals and organizations contributing to this fund-raising effort and highlighting the good works of the people of the insurance industry.”
The agenda for the gala event includes:

*Keynote speaker Rudolph W. Giuliani
* IICF 2010 honouree Maurice R. Greenberg, Chairman and CEO, C.V. Starr & Co.
* Special presentations to grantees by Ken Griffey, Jr. and Mark Messier
* Remarks by dinner chair Greg Case, President and CEO, Aon Corp.
* A video showcasing accomplishments of IICF grant recipients
* A performance by the Young People's Chorus of New York City.
