BB&T Insurance Services launched Insurance.BBT.com, which which offers a suite of auto insurance and renters insurance products, and now offers homeowner’s and travel insurance.
BB&T Insurance said its online travel insurance, underwritten by Stonebridge Casualty Insurance Co., offers single and multi-trip travel protection plans with 24/7 worldwide emergency assistance; coverages for trip cancellation, interruption and delay, and lost, stolen or delayed baggage; emergency medical situations; and concierge services such as travel information and entertainment planning.
BB&T Insurance Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of BB&T, is the nation’s sixth largest insurance broker and the seventh largest broker internationally. It operates more than 100 insurance agencies in Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, Florida and California.
