Avoca Insurance Holdings announced today the establishment of Manchester Specialty Programs Inc. (MSP) as a national programs platform. William D. Thompson, CIC has been named President and CEO of the organization. Bill is directly responsible for the development and management of all program business.
The company will focus on providing a comprehensive range of coverage to specialty industry sectors in partnership with highly rated carriers. Prior to joining MSP, Bill was a Principal of Smith Bell & Thompson Inc., a Burlington Vermont based specialty underwriter. Bill was instrumental in the development and success of the national programs division, generating over $200M in premium volume.

Manchester Specialty Programs will provide specialty commercial property and casualty coverage on an open brokerage basis, and is licensed to do business as a program administrator in all states. The company is based in Manchester, New Hampshire and is part of the Avoca Group, with additional offices in New York, Boston, Hartford, Philadelphia, Chicago and London, England.
