The facility will be Applied Systems' third data center and its first outside the United States.

"As a market leader among broker management software providers in Canada, Applied Systems is committed to helping our customers realize the greatest value from their Applied Systems software investment," said Applied Systems CEO Reid French. "As we invest further in the Canadian marketplace, the new data center will afford our Canada brokers all of the advantages of a leading broker management system with the additional advantages of the online environment."

Applied Systems reports that increasing numbers of agents and brokers are choosing online management systems for advantages that include enhanced security against physical and electronic intrusion, remote accessibility, and better disaster recovery. The company says agencies that have embraced the online environment report increased ability to focus on serving clients instead of administering IT.
