Aon to Acquire Commercial Insurance Activities of ABN AMRO in The Netherlands

Aon plc, the leading global provider of risk management solutions and human resources outsourcing and consulting services, announced its Dutch subsidiary Aon Groep Nederland B.V. intends to acquire the intermediary activities for commercial insurance from ABN AMRO Bank N.V. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The proposed acquisition pertains to ABN AMRO's insurance activities for large commercial enterprises as well as certain activities for small and medium-sized enterprises. This includes services such as risk consulting, insurance brokerage and the management of policies. In total, 78 employees will transfer to Aon Risk Solutions, the global risk management business of Aon.

The transaction is subject to certain customary conditions.
