Agent Scholarship for Aartrijk Brand Camp Named In Honor of Maureen Wall Bentley

Insurance branding specialist Aartrijk will award a scholarship for an independent agent to attend its Brand Camp 2012 event in memory of Maureen Wall Bentley, founder of the event who also led industry branding efforts for independent agents and brokers.

Published on March 7, 2012

Brand Camp is a hands-on insurance marketing conference designed specifically for carriers, agents and brokers, wholesalers, industry trade associations and technology service providers. Brand Camp 2012 will be hosted May 7-9 in Boulder, Colorado, and registration information is available at Aartrijk.com/brand-camp.

"Maureen's conviction was that independent insurance agents and brokers could individually and collectively build their business for long-term success using a range of branding tools -- just like the big competitors with deep pockets," said Aartrijk CEO Peter van Aartrijk.

Wall Bentley was executive vice president, brand strategy of Aartrijk when she died last July 9 after a recurrence of cancer. Prior to joining Aartrijk, Wall Bentley held communications and branding roles at the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (Big 'I'), where she was publisher of Independent Agent magazine. She led the research, development and introduction of the Trusted Choice® consumer brand.

Aartrijk is accepting nominations for the scholarship; contact information for young agents can be sent to Rick Morgan, Brand Camp program chair, at rick@Aartrijk.com.
