At the event, ACE offered insights on the global economic and political developments impacting Singapore and Asia through a keynote presentation by Mr. Manu Bhaskaran, a partner of the strategic advisory firm Centennial Group. The forum also offered fresh perspectives on how multinationals can respond to cross-border risks as they seize growth opportunities in Asia and beyond.

Presented by Mr. Suresh Krishnan, General Counsel for ACE’s Multinational Client Group, the topic Multinational Risk Management in Singapore’ was also the subject of a recent podcast which delved into the intricacies of managing multinational programs.

According to Mr. Krishnan, “Multinational clients face three immediate challenges. First and foremost, they must have a clear understanding of where their exposures are located and ensure that the appropriate insurance is in place. Secondly, clients should communicate with their brokers and insurers on their specific insurance needs and expectations. Last but not least, they need to consult with their legal, finance and tax colleagues to transparently manage the potential implications of a claim paid to the parent company.”

Suresh is based in New York and has legal oversight for matters connected with ACE’s North American and international multinational products and services. He has co-authored multiple reports on the topic of multinational insurance programs, all of which are available at www.acegroup.com.
