Towers Watson, a global professional services company, announced late August that industry veteran Mitch Barnes has joined the company's Talent and Rewards team as a senior consultant in the Southeast region.
Barnes will help organizations with all aspects of employee rewards, including compensation and total rewards strategy, base pay and variable pay plan design, sales compensation and job leveling, while providing support across the Southeast region.
Based in the company's Charlotte, N.C. office, Barnes has more than 30 years of industry experience. He has worked with domestic and global companies across multiple industry segments including airline, energy, financial services, insurance, communications, manufacturing and retail. Prior to joining Towers Watson, Barnes was a principal in the Human Capital practice at Mercer. He also held various human resource positions at large U.S. financial services firms.
Barnes holds a B.S. in business from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.B.A. in finance and operations from Wake Forest University. He is a WorldatWork Certified Compensation Professional.
