The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. will continue to insure homeowners, automobile, commercial insurance and group benefits customers affected by wildfires in Colorado if they are temporarily unable to make their premium payments.
Although premium bills will continue to be issued, policy cancellations due to non-payment will be temporarily suspended in Boulder, Gilpin and Larimer counties in Colorado retroactive to September 8, 2010. The grace period will extend to October 8, 2010.
"This payment relief is intended to provide Hartford policyholders with extra time to organize their affairs following the catastrophic wildfires that have affected their lives," said John Wilcox, senior vice president, The Hartford. "We hope this temporary suspension will provide our customers with some relief."
