A new automated agency management system for the way agents do business now and in the future was unveiled at the ASCnet Conference by insurance technology company Applied Systems Inc.
Agents, brokers and carriers gathered for the annual Applied Systems user group meeting in Anaheim, California, heard company Chairman and CEO James P. Kellner call the new system, Applied Systems Epic™, a simple-to-use, secure, scalable, rich Internet application that is free of browser-based inefficiency.
Kellner said Applied Systems Epic is the culmination of “a lengthy and intensive undertaking to create a new system, to construct it on totally new architecture that would be flexible and scalable for any agency or brokerage.”
He emphasized that the new system is not an update of any existing system, including _Applied’s flagship, TAM (The Agency Manager®). Kellner said his company is committed to continuing development of TAM as well as its other systems, Vision and DORIS. The Epic system is another available offering, Kellner said.
Kellner said the Epic system will be in general release in the United States on November 12, and in Canada in 2009. He described a careful and lengthy beta process that is steadily taking more and more beta agencies live as GR approaches. “I am thrilled to report that the agencies that are up and running their businesses with Applied Systems Epic are extremely satisfied,” Kellner said.
Applied Systems chose to announce its new technology at TENCon, the annual Technology, Education & Networking Conference of ASCnet Inc., the Applied Systems Client Network, citing allegiance to its customer base and user group.
