In his new role, Mr. Sheehan will be responsible for ensuring that Marsh consistently delivers industry-leading products and solutions to its wide array of financial institution clients.
Since joining Marsh in 1993, Mr. Sheehan has held a variety of positions within the firm’s financial and professional liability (FINPRO) practice advising numerous banking, capital markets, asset management, and insurance company clients. “Tripp Sheehan’s experience, expertise, and proven dedication to serving clients will help ensure that Marsh remains the leading provider of risk and insurance solutions to the financial institutions market,” said David Bidmead, US CEO of Marsh. “I’m thrilled to have someone of Tripp’s caliber at the helm of one of Marsh’s most dynamic industry practices.”
Mr. Sheehan, who will continue to be based in Boston, added: “Financial institutions are operating in an increasingly challenging environment due to global macroeconomic volatility, a plethora of new regulations, increased regulatory scrutiny, evolving capital requirements, and other issues. The ability to identify, quantify, and manage risk has never been more important for these firms. I’m excited about the opportunity to lead such a distinguished group at Marsh and to help our financial institution clients stay abreast of the evolving risk landscape and better manage their risks.”
