Introducing Insurance Unplugged

Posted on 16 Mar 09

Dear Members:

Thank you for your continued confidence in our ability to provide the most up-to-date financial services-related news and the most accurate specialty insurance market search engine in the business.  First, I would like to offer a heartfelt thanks to Jack Burke who has been the editor of our bi-monthly newsletter for the past ten years. Jack is a friend and we wish him and Sound Marketing well.

In keeping with the recent launching of our re-designed website, we have also decided to take a different approach to the ProgramBusiness newsletter. Beginning this issue we have a new name and look for the newsletter, “Insurance Unplugged” and a new editor, Annie George, I'd like to introduce.
Annie is a long-time friend and colleague of mine who most of you know as the editor of our Daily NewsFlash. Annie and I started our careers together at IMMS in Santa Monica, CA in the 1980s. Since then Annie has been the president of Ad-Infinitum Marketing, worked as an on-line marketing strategist and writer for FIFA (the world governing body of soccer), and most recently (2004) started a new firm called Outside the Box Marketing. Annie brings the skill set we need to pursue our new strategy of bringing the same hard news stories and relevant marketing articles to the ProgramBusiness newsletter that have made the Daily NewsFlash such a success.
Each issue will feature an interview with an industry expert on issues that matter to our ProgramBusiness members; a spotlight on storefronts, both new and existing, so you get an in-depth look at the type of programs and coverages available through ProgramBusiness; marketing ideas; and in-depth coverage of what is happening in our industry.

As always, we welcome ideas and if you'd like a specific topic covered, please feel free to contact Annie at .

Please join me in welcoming Annie and in the launching of our new newsletter.
