Zurich announced the appointment of Gary Hirschkron as Head of Product Development for Zurich Global Life in North America, effective immediately.
In this newly created role, Mr. Hirschkron will lead the product development effort for Global Life in the North American market, as well as drive the development and maintenance of the product portfolio. He will be integrally involved in the profitable growth of each of Zurich Global Life's distribution pillars across North America: Farmers New World Life, Corporate Life & Pensions, Independent Financial Advisors and Private Banking. He will also work closely with the Global Life team to develop and implement strategic business plans and optimize customer relationships. Mr. Hirschkron will be based in New York and report to David Dietz, CEO for Zurich Global Life in North America.
Mr. Hirschkron has extensive experience in life product design and market implementation. Prior to accepting this position, he was most recently Senior Vice President, Life Product Design and
Manufacturing for AXA Equitable Insurance Company where he developed a series of Fixed Universal Life products, modernized Incentive Life Variable Universal Life products and created AXA's first Indexed Universal Life series, released in 2010. Prior to that role, Mr. Hirschkron was President of AXA Partners, the wholesale life distribution division of AXA Equitable. His extensive experience in the market and his passion for portfolio design makes him ideally suited to help grow Zurich’s Life business in North America.
Mr. Hirschkron earned an A.B. in European History from Princeton University. In addition, he is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and holds his Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7 and 26 licenses.
