Beazley has recruited Lila Rymer to join its political risks team, writing business in the US from the company’s New York office.
Adrian Lewers, head of Beazley’s political risks and contingency division, said “Lloyd’s is the leading market for political risks insurance in the world and our London team plays a leading role. However, there is real value for us in having an underwriting capability in key markets to help us access business we would not normally see at Lloyd’s. Lila brings significant expertise and experience of the US market and will be a great asset to our team.”
Lila Rymer joins Beazley from Atradius Credit Insurance, where she was a senior underwriter and business development manager. She is the second political risks underwriter Beazley has recruited outside London: in January 2008, Crispin Hodges joined the firm to develop political risks business in Singapore.
