The American Insurance Marketing & Sales (AIMS) Society, the practical go-to source for building insurance sales and marketing expertise, has expanded its education offering. The organization is offering a one-day intensive training session on effective use of Internet-based tools and functionality to drive increased growth and profits.
The new program, Agency Internet Bootcamp, will be led by insurance technology expert Steve Anderson and will be offered in conjunction with local sponsors of the AIMS Society’s CPIA (Certified Professional Insurance Agent) professional designation education programs.
According to AIMS Society Executive Director Kitty Ambers, CPIA, CIC, CISR, CPIW, Agency Internet Bootcamp complements the organization’s existing programs. “This builds on the practical training we already provide insurance professionals,” she explains. “The format tracks the hands-on approach CPIA programs have become known for throughout the industry.”
According to Steve Anderson, who developed the program, course participants will learn how to extend their physical office to include an Internet presence that offers 24/7 prospect and customer agency access. “By learning to effectively implement Internet-based marketing, sales and service tools, agencies will be better equipped to attract potential customers and to connect with prospects and clients on their terms,” he says.
Among the topics attendees will learn in the course, which meets AIMS Society requirements for maintaining the CPIA professional designation, are:
• Online competition and achieving top search engine results;
• Monitoring reputation and competitors with online tools;
• Blog creation, featuring use of photos and videos;
• Practical tactics that can increase traffic to agency Web sites;
• Using social media to strengthen relationships and attract prospects;
• Creation and deployment of customer-driven Web site functionality; and
• Development of a measurable online and offline agency sales and marketing plan.
“In today’s increasingly competitive environment, it’s important for local agents to have clear knowledge and understanding of available tools and resources—and more important, how to use them to make a difference,” Ambers notes. “Just like all AIMS Society education events, this program is guaranteed to provide these results.”
