New 123CPL risk purchase group offers lower rates on contractor's pollution liability (CPL) insurance

To more effectively meet the pollution liability insurance needs of contractors at a significantly lower cost than traditional policies, 123ocp.com has created 123CPL, Inc., a risk purchase group (RPG) that provides discounted group rates on this type of insurance. 123CPL does not assume any of the risk, serving merely as the purchasing vehicle for the lower-cost coverage offered exclusively to group members.

123CPL was created in conjunction with carrier Greenwich Insurance Company A Rated by A.M. BEST, an XL Group plc company. Greenwich has provided admitted paper-so there are no surplus lines taxes-a broad array of coverage options, and highly competitive group rates.

How it works

With 123CPL, a master policy is issued by the carrier-in our case a master policy has been issued for each of the optional limits provided. When you bind coverage you will receive a copy of the master policy and a certificate showing which coverage your contractor has chosen for the project along with the applicable endorsements specific to your certificate.

There is no sharing of limits in the 123CPL program between certificates. Each certificate has its own specific certificate number providing a limit of liability and an aggregate limit for that certificate only--those limits are not shared with any other certificate number issued. In essence, it is the same as if you purchased a traditional liability policy for the project.
