WAHVE (Work At Home Vintage Employees), which created domestic remote outsourcing for insurance firms, has joined a brand-new effort from AARP called "Work Reimagined" that is dedicated to helping employers find workers and giving experienced professionals more work options.
WAHVE joined as a participating employer in Work Reimagined, a new digital platform that offers tailored online job listings from business social network LinkedIn. Work Reimagined also provides work-related content, guidance, and a community of experienced workers and companies. AARP is a national nonprofit organization with 37 million members aged 50 or over.
WAHVE, formed in 2010, provides experienced insurance professionals to insurance agencies and other insurance firms on a remote outsourced contract basis for full-time, part-time, or project work.
"The idea behind WAHVE -- keeping talented, experienced people in the insurance industry as they leave traditional careers -- is very much reflected in the Work Reimagined goal of expanding work options for over-age-50 workers," stated Sharon Emek, Ph.D., president and CEO of WAHVE.
WAHVE is one of 120 participating employers nationally and one of seven in the insurance industry involved in the new Work Reimagined program. Each employer has pledged it has a current hiring need, openness to the value of experienced workers, and nondiscriminatory human resources policies.
Work Reimagined includes a community website at www.WorkReimagined.org, a Work Reimagined LinkedIn group, and job listings from participating employers posted on LinkedIn. WAHVE's job openings include insurance positions at insurance agencies, brokers, companies and other insurance firms. WAHVE has placed more than 65 workers at insurance firms since its founding in 2010.
About WAHVE: Work At Home Vintage Employees (WAHVE) is a unique, cost-saving, remote contract staffing solution for the insurance industry. Using an innovative work-at-home model, WAHVE employs skilled insurance retirees located in the U.S. who understand the industry's technology, culture and language. By outsourcing to WAHVE, insurance firms can leverage these qualified, experienced, and technologically-savvy retirees to significantly lower costs and improve profitability.
Founded by executives who each have more than 30 years of insurance agency, technology and service-center experience, WAHVE is the only domestic alternative to offshore remote staffing for insurance firms (including agents/brokers, wholesalers, insurers, and vendors), providing back office and customer services on a full-time, part-time or temporary basis.
