The IICF's Club100 - "The New Frontier" is a unique philanthropic dinner event that offers guests the opportunity to explore California's deep aerospace tradition. Set against the backdrop of the California Science Center, guests will be among the first to view the space shuttle Endeavour, while raising grant funds for local community non-profit organizations.
"Southern California boasts a vibrant insurance community actively engaged in supporting local non-profits in meeting critical community needs," said Jon Axel, Senior Vice President, HUB International Insurance Services Inc. Axel, who serves as the 2013 Club100 Dinner Chair, continued, "The extraordinary growth of Club100 over the past years is a powerful testament to the charitable commitment found throughout the region."
Club100 annually provides a unique opportunity for senior insurance industry executives throughout Southern California to unite together, raising vital funds for local nonprofits. "Club100 provides a coordinated effort that enables a meaningful, broad impact for charities in the Los Angeles area," noted Axel.
Proceeds from the Club100 Dinner will benefit local charities through the Foundation's community grants program. Past grant recipients include Alisha Ann Ruch Burn Foundation, Blind Children's Center, Children's Bureau, Los Angeles, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Orange County, Covenant House, and Los Angeles Metro YMCA. To date, the Industry Foundation has contributed over $19 million and 166,000 volunteer service hours to hundreds of community organizations across the country.
